How to Get Paid to Fill Out Surveys

Consumer preference surveys have been around for many years. When the Internet came along, survey makers saw a way to make their surveys faster and at lower cost. Today's paid online surveys are the result, and the reason why you can get paid to fill out surveys.

The Internet saved the survey makers the cost of mailings and of sending survey takers out into the field to ask their questions. But the problem soon became, how do you get people to respond and fill out the survey questionnaires? The solution was to make it worth their while by paying them.

Today there are over 700 survey makers in the U.S. alone and over 3,000 worldwide. Thousands of surveys are being made every week, and tens of thousands of survey participants are receiving deposits in their PayPal accounts or checks in the mail every month.

To qualify to be a survey participant you just need to be a consumer, 18 or over, and have enough computer skills to be able to send and receive e-mails. Beyond that, you will need to get your name and demographic data (age, gender, zip code, etc.) registered with a large number of good survey makers.

That is easy to do in theory, but more difficult in practice because only about 1 survey maker in 5 (20%) offers legitimate paid online surveys that pay well, on time and in cash or equivalent. Another 2 in 5 (40%) have surveys that pay less, but are nevertheless usually worthwhile. The rest will just waste your time.

To find the good ones and actually get paid, you will need a good list of survey makers to sign up with. The best place to get such a list is from a paid survey membership site that maintains such lists for its clients.
